Yes but No

Well due to work I have plenty of starts but not so many finished pieces. Though I did create something for work out of frustration. I work for Crawford County Mental Health and I designed a ... I don't want to say permission slip but an informative long distance form.

Round 2!

I just got through my second interview at Miller's! I believe it well! I am suppose to hear from them around the 20th! If nothing else I did get to see part of its enter workings! I kind of thought of tour as a live action "How Its Made" episode. Keep your fingers cross I think that this would be a perfect step from Mental Health!

Strike a Swril!

As you know I have a love for tentacle women they are a great source of
symbolism and beauty to me.

Strike A Swirl Doodle

This was created from this doodle
I scribed earlier this year.

Strike A Swirl

After I was finished with the line work I felt that if we all had tentacles we wouldn't
strike a pose
but
they'd strike a swirl.

Feeling the Pressure

Art has always been been an outlet. This piece was born from the pressure of graduating into the real world.

Happy Birthday To Me

My dear friend Rachel the formal owner of Pittsburg Art Supply gave me a cute traveling water color set for my B-Day. Here are few a of my creations. My favorite one is Her. Water colors and I have always fought a fierce battle. I think that's why I'm so drawn to it for the challenge! I'm hoping to integrate it into my regular work but the struggle for me is figuring out how to finish them? They seem half done to me? But I am experimenting still!

Graduation?

It just seems to be happening so fast... I will figure this out... Soon?

A Peek!

This Piece is called Purge. It plays on some self confidence issues. The feeling that you don't fit in your own skin, or you look at a photo and wonder who taped your head on that body?

Here is She Skull. It was created after thinking about Beauty and what is beneath flesh (bone).

This is my iconic view of the the female form.

SHOW TIME!

Becky's great card design!

It is finally that time! Senior show time! I don't know why I'm stressed! Maybe it is the draining of my funds for getting my prints! Urg! It should be a good turn out this weekend!
I think my main issue is that this is the first time I am including my family into my art work. I don't know how they will react. I'm also afraid that they are all going to travel all this way and think WTF!
We will see how it turns out. I will post the pieces from the show after the reception Saturday!

I want that Bod

This piece is me toying with the female form once more. I've often found that the disfigurement and sometimes mutilation of the female form in my pieces stems from my own insecurities, and the social norms that often tell me women a weak and vulnerable.

All My Saints

This is part of my Martyr Saints series. My goal was to give a these female saints a retro but yet more modern then the original saints themselves. As well to portray their demise. Here is St. Lucy who had here eyes cut out with a dagger before being put to death. This made her the patron saint of the blind.

Someone for my masked woman!

As you know months ago I posted a masked woman on here inspired by a light fixture and now she has someone special. I also altered the female version to to compliment each other. I recently entered these two pieces in a show at Labette Community College
